Driver Agreement
A summary of the terms that apply once your driver application is approved.
Last updated
Please note. This document sets out the position Apex Path Logistiks takes, but it has not yet been reviewed by counsel. Where you have a signed service agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence over anything written here.
Engagement
Drivers are engaged on the terms set out in the agreement provided at onboarding. Submitting an application does not create an engagement, does not guarantee any volume of work, and does not oblige either of us to anything.
Checks and eligibility
By submitting an application you consent to Apex Path Logistiks obtaining your driving record and running a background check on you. We ask for that consent explicitly on the last step of the application, and we record which version of the wording you agreed to and when.
You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us, but we cannot progress an application without it.
Engagement is conditional on those checks, on holding a valid provincial licence for the class of vehicle you drive, and on your continued eligibility to work in Canada.
What we do with your application
The privacy policy describes exactly what the application collects, where it is stored, who can see it and how long it is kept. The form does not accept attachments, so you are never asked to upload a copy of your licence.
Pay
Rates, per-stop bonuses and the weekly pay cycle are confirmed in writing before your first route and form part of your onboarding agreement.
Pay is for the prior Monday-to-Sunday period, and per-stop bonuses are itemised separately on your statement.
Hours and safety
Drivers are responsible for complying with the hours-of-service rules that apply to their vehicle class, and nothing in a route assignment requires or rewards exceeding them.
Onboarding and safety training are paid.
Accessibility and accommodation
If you need an accommodation at any stage of the application or the work, ask. We will work out an individual plan with you rather than deciding on your behalf. Write to accessibility@apexlogistiks.com.
